Retailers will now have an easier and faster way to evaluate and target the ideal site for their stores, all at the click of a button. Through Eastcoast Property Software's (EPS) retail information service, retailers can now view custom-designed maps highlighting demographic characteristics of neighbourhoods within a five kilometre catchment of some 41 shopping centres across New South Wales. EPS, a leading provider of store management solutions and Salmat, Australia's largest customer communications company, are jointly launching this new demographic service. "Salmat is a leader in providing demographic and lifestyle analysis that helps retailers identify where their target customers are located. Through this joint service, we are now making this information available to a wider variety of retail organisations," says Adam Ramshaw, General Manager of EPS. The new service is web-based, allowing users immediate access to high quality demographic profile maps from their computer, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. "Normally, it would take two to three days for you to get these maps. This self-service approach eliminates any delay, allowing users access to a range of standardised maps quickly and easily. As well, the cost for standard maps is lower because more people are requesting them," said Mr. Ramshaw. The maps are coded with Salmat's exclusive demographic profiling system, Marketfind. Based on the Census, Marketfind's profiles provide a comprehensive insight into the demographic characteristics of neighbourhoods within shopping centre catchments. The profile types range from the rich (Prestige) to the disadvantaged (Suburban Welfare). Retailers can use the information in evaluating new store locations and developing targeted marketing campaigns to promote new or existing stores. "EPS's Retail Information Service is the perfect platform for Salmat to deliver its demographic expertise to a wider range of retailers. Plans are already underway to expand the range of maps and profiles available through the service," says Martin Coombs, Salmat's Manager of Customer Targeting. EPS has been providing multi-store retailers with store management solutions for more than seven years. The company delivers software, information and services to retailers and has released several versions of its highly successful EPS Professional lease management software. Its Retail Information Service is internet-based providing retailers, and others, with lease information for use in negotiation, store placements and a variety of other uses. Salmat is Australia's largest customer communications organisation, specialising in document management, data solutions, electronic bill presentment and payment, letterbox delivery, teleservices, fulfilment and target marketing. More than 1,600 professionals are employed by Salmat who provide end-to-end customer communication solutions for many of Australia's blue chip corporations and government bodies, and a number of major international companies. Salmat has offices in every State and the ACT and internationally in New Zealand, Taiwan, the Philippines and Hong Kong. Contact:Adam Ramshaw General Manager EPS Pty. Ltd.
